Thank you for your interest in Occasions, El Segundo for your special event needs. Occasions is a 1920’s reception room and garden featuring classic styling and casual elegance. Our beautiful garden is surrounded by trees and a border of multicolored blooms. A flagstone path creates the perfect entryway to our beautiful iron gazebo while a waterfall and stream flows into a koi pond accentuate the tranquil setting. At night, the starry sky seems to come all the way down to the ground, thanks to thousands of Tivoli lights glowing in the surrounding hedges, arches and trees. Our elegant Heritage Room boasts antique brickwork, moldings, french doors and huge skylights that floods the room with natural light.

Event Times
We generally hold two events per day. The first event of the day is scheduled from 11:00am-4:00pm and the second is from 6:00pm-11:00pm. An extra hour may be purchased at the beginning of the AM or at the end of the PM event..

Food and Beverage Minimums
Pricing is based on a food and beverage minimum. Minimums vary depending on the day of week and time frame you select.

Beverage Fee
Occasions is not licensed to sell alcohol, you may provide your own alcohol and our professional bartender will serve to your guests. You may choose what to serve and all remaining alcohol will be returned to you after each event. A beverage fee per guest covers ice, soft drinks, juices, sparkling cider, sparkling water, condiments and traditional mixes and the services of our bartender.
Ceremony Fee
Should you choose to have your ceremony in our garden our event coordinator will help you with the production and direction of this special event. Our beautiful bridal room is available for your convenience. The ceremony fee includes a one hour rehearsal time.
Service Charges and Sales Tax
A 20% Service Fee will be added to your event total. Sales tax will be computed at the prevailing rate and added to your entire bill. In accordance to the California State Board of Equalization, regulation number 1603, all service charges must also be taxed at the same rate
Handicap Accessibility
Occasions is an old historic building, our restrooms are not wheelchair accessible. We are accessible to the garden and certain areas of the building and courtyard.
Referral Services
Occasions does not publish a list of vendors, but we do recommend vendors that we have worked with before and that we feel provide good value and outstanding service. Please note that all Vendors must have a current Business License and Liability Insurance.
Cake Cutting
You may contract with a licensed bakery for your wedding occasions cake. A per person cake cutting fee will be added to your event bill.
Tasting
Once you have booked your special event at, you will be invited to attend our private tasting for up to two (2) people. You will have the opportunity to view a variety of florists work, sample wedding cake from our featured bakery and sample some of our menu selections. Additional attendees or to attend an additional tasting can be accommodated for an additional fee.
Final Guarantee
Your final guest count is due at least seven (7) business days prior to the date of your event. The final count you provide is not subject to reduction. If you do not provide a final count by said date, then the expected guest count you supplied will be used for preparation, staffing and food quantities for your event. |
